 Sabbath Moon Gathering {OPEN}
« Thread Started on Oct 11, 2009, 5:14pm »

Samhain and the season of darkness are at our door.
Soon the last of the vegetation will pull back to sleep till spring.

It is the time of the meat harvest, the blood harvest,
the last harvest for so very long.
Huddle close friends,
for we never know who rides in the dark on a Samhain night.

Cold clammy oozing rot, wetness, extends like the tentacles of a squid.
If pulled too close we won't return from the musty mystery.

Yet, all will step into the mist, leaving behind a meal for the worms.
Leaving behind all the things we drag around and amuse ourselves with,
while we wait our turn to the tomb.

The wheel turns to a harsh time as the Mother retrieves her children.
A time when Clans are forced past their differences to cooperate… or perish.

The Wheel of Life turns, as it has for our forbearers and their forbearers, and theirs
And so it has been and so it will be through out eternity.

What to do? It is simple… Live the moment!
Leave no prize missed, spend little time on folly.
Grab the wheel my friends.
Ride it like it has never been ridden before, make it yours!

Take the gift the Goddess has handed you, and touch it,
smell it, feel it, be in every moment.
In time… She will hand you a new gift.

Now is used best to learn to accept all gifts with grace.

She is perfection of Love… She is perfection of Trust…

Phoenix Rising

Racing the wind Phoenix hung off of Freya's flank as he followed her...wherever she was headed. His paws barely touched the ground it was as if he was flying. He laughed again as he kept running and then stopped, raising his muzzle to the sky and breathing in scents as he looked toward Mother Moon. She seemed larger to him today. He let a short howl tear from his maw before he went silent again and looked around. this was a meeting place. He looked about and smiled, so far it seemed there was only him and Freya, but then a new scent reached him and he smiled a little as he saw her. It was the Ash Forest fae he'd run into in the caverns. He nodded to her in acknowledgement and watched her return it with a shallow dip of her brownish-grey head. Who else would come?

Lark had looked to the sky earlier and had felt as if she were being tugged by her very soul to the howling grounds. It confused her a moment and then she realized how the moon looked. She was bigger, rounder and slightly different. Under the fingers of light from Mother moon Lark chased down and captured two rabbits and carried them with her as she trotted slowly toward the howling grounds. Stepping through the brush she saw the black male again, the same one from the caverns, she chuckled inwardly and then dropped the rabbits at her feet as she greeted him with a nod and a nod to the other with them. How many more would come? She looked about and waited.

Small lithe form tripped along the pathways leading to the Howling ground where a sort of celebration for the whole vale to attend was taking place. Pelt of glittering golden and tawny hues glowed delicately within the moonlight while mitts skirted the rocks lining the waters along the way. Excitement flared within her, echoing within lively step and bright Caribbean voids that probed the darkness for any signs of danger or anything out of the ordinary. Yet all seemed fine as she bubbled onward, enjoying the new changes of landscaping and surroundings along with the bite of the end of summer. Mother nature was having her blows and fall was upon them sharp and distinct with the promises of winter.

Audits perked gently upon tiara, flickering here and there as the sounds of movement soon drifted lazily to her upon Autumn winds, guessing it was the appearance of others for such an event. With that pace picked up while air brushed silken pelt back and tugged upon the pheasants that dangled like ink spills from her jaws, nothing but lifeless images of what they once were. She didn't take much pride in this offering in itself, it was just something extra she had snared quick while she was on her way. the real offering was what her father and brother were dragging along a little later. Her being little miss social and craving the experience of meeting new others caused her to leave early to see what conversations she could muster up and who's mind she could pick at for awhile.

A few leaps, flexing of muscles and arching of tendons left her lands very gracefully upon other banks where a few others had taken their places. Smile bloomed upon kissers while banner swayed eagerly behind her in greeting. Jaws were about to attempt a salutations but she quickly reworked that thought and placed the to glossy feathered birds upon the ground.

"'ello there."

Lyrics said softly in their girlish and lilting quality. Being only three she still had her mother refined grace and manners along with quite a bit of life experience tucked beneath her belt which left her highly mature. She took a keen eyes upon the world while she hesitated to judge. Optics glittering bright like oceanic gems scanned other fellow strangers while nares flared dragging in their scents which were all mostly alien to her for only her home the great gorge and her capture at Shadowed Shores were distinct to her besides a few loner lands.

Tiara dipped in a lday like manner to brute then femora noting her small petite stature compared to both making her feel a tad self conscious while mind tugged wondering when her family would arrive. yes she loved new greetings but even she herself needed reassurance from those she knew from time to time.

Iceheart

Voices, tales, looks. All had told Ice something was up at the howling grounds, and when Val took off from the Gorge, Ice had followed paces behind her. He'd watched her chase down and capture the pheasants. He'd then found himself a couple prairie chickens himself and gathered them into his mouth as he followed Val's trail. Soon her petite form came into sight and vanished just as quickly into the clearing. Placing his paws carefully Ice made his way to the clearing just as Val spoke. 'ello there. Ice smiled and sat down a little ways away from Val as he spoke softly so only she could hear as he dropped his catch at his feet. "It's a feat trying to keep up with you Val." Then he looked to the other two and dipped his head to them both and waited calmly for others.

.....Birds and rodents of the trees all screeched in alarm as a bulky frame made it's way through the shadows created by the canvas of leaves above. The being that stalked through the forest paid no attention to the small morsels clinging to the branches above. Leaping gracefully over fallen trees and moss-covered rocks, the female continued on her trek with no destination in mind. Lengthening her smooth stride, the multicolored wolfess stretched her muscles, reveling in the feeling of the wind in her fur and the ground flying away beneath her feet.

.....Suddenly, the figured stopped at a dead halt, legs bracing against the ground. As the fae inhaled deeply, her nares became filled with the many scents of her surroundings, both familiar and strange. Mentally sorting through the ordinary smells of the earth, trees, and forest air, she perked her head up when she noticed one in particular: rabbits. Teeth bared in an excited, wolfish grin, the figure darting forward, tearing through brush and shrubs. Sensing that she was getting closer, she slowed again, her pace transforming into the careful gait of the hunter. Creeping forward, the thick fur on her belly brushing the ground, she inched ahead until her prey entered her line of vision. Two brown rabbits, both very plump with bushy, cotton-like tails, were dozing not ten feet from her, unaware of the danger nearby. Wanting to make the kills easy and quick, she leaped through the air and landed right in front of the shocked herbivores. Jaws open wide, she snapped the neck of the first, quickly pouncing on the second before it could escape further.

.....Satisfied that the deaths of her afternoon snacks had been quick and relatively painless, she picked up the second rabbit and placed it on the ground near the first. Turning her head and listening intently, the femme made sure that she was definitely alone before lowing herself to the ground and laying on the cool, leaf-covered ground. Momentarily forgetting the untouched meal in front of her, she quickly became enveloped in her thoughts, tuning the world out almost completely. For some reason, the gray wolf found herself thinking about past hunting excursions and what must go through a proud caribou's mind just before a carnivore like herself made the pounce that would end its life. Such thoughts were not uncommon in this odd creature's mind, and she had come to realize many moons ago that this way of thinking was not something shared by many of her kind.

.....Abruptly, and certainly without her consent, a musical voice that spread throughout the Vale graced her red-tinted ears, breaking the wolfess from her thoughts. The lyrics that poured through the forest made the female jump to her feet, very aware of the sound of her own heart beating more loudly by the second. The owner of the beautiful sound was known to the fae, for who had not heard of this wonderful queen of wolves? Although there had never been a meeting between to two, Freya's presence was known to Kavita, despite the small amount of time the younger had resided in the Vale.

.....What reason could there be for such a call to a Gathering?, she questioned. Curiosity getting the better of her, she gathered her legs underneath her, shaking her coat to rid herself of any stray leaves or dirt. Grabbing the two hares in her mouth, she allowed her legs to carry her through the woodland towards the Howling Grounds. Versicolored frame moving in the direction of the call's origin, paws approached their destination with very little of Kavita's own will.

.....Just as she was beginning to doubt even hearing the voice in the first place, her eyes finally locked onto the few wolfish figures who had already begun to gather. Nearing the small group of wolves, each varying in color and size, she slowed the pace that seemed to have quickened without her conscious permission. It came to no surprise to Kavita that she knew none of these inhabitants of the Vale, for she herself had only resided there a short time and had met very few of its resident lupines. Stopping a short distance away, she dipped her light-colored muzzle downwards in a small nod of greeting. Socialization wasn't where the fae's strength lay, and she was wary of the strangers before her. Even though this Gathering had been called forth with a demand of peace between all, there was still the possibility that something could go awry, leading to negative events now or in the future. Dropping the two carcasses by her feet to free her mouth, she chose her words carefully.

...................."Good evening sisters, brothers. I am Kavita."

Clouse

Pushing himself through the forest, the young brute looked over his shoulder, seeing if the fae who had been with him earlier was following suit. He tightly moved between the thin dying trees, as he dove over a fallen tree, his front paws coming down hard on the ground kicked up the autumn leaves that littered the forest floor.

The beautiful male lifted his maw to the gray sky once again, taking in the scent of the others. He had been wondering these lands alone, and was eager to see the wolves of this area. His heart pounding in his large chest as he pushed himself further, he was getting closer, the sensation was spine tingling.

The sound of the dead leafs underneath of him were crackling beneath his weight as he slowed to a graceful jog. Coming up over a gentle slope, the male looked down at the sight below him, the outline of other, older wolves collected around the beautiful background of the orange and gold fall. He cocked his head, gazing at them with much interest.

Flyte
[image]

The young female limped further, slowly tiring. She exhaled deeply, inhaled the scent of clouse, and smiled, he was close. She tried desprately to go faster, but once again, when she put her hurt paw down, small spurts of blood oozed out. She growled silently, she was really annoyed. Flyte thenn looked up agian, trying to focus on the smell of others and clouse, and went on. She cae accros a large log, and akwardly managed to get over it. She then saw Clouse, he was standing on the large hill, looking down at the other wolves. She walked to him, trying to pull all signs of pain out of her face. She then wagged her tail a little, and sat beside Clouse. Flyte then watched the other wolves, waiting for the moments they would notice the two, and she would have to get off her butt, and put her usless paw to use. She sighed, then greeted Clouse.
" Hey." She said, looking to his face and smiling as much she could, considering she was panting.. Who knew walking could be tiring?? But, she then turned her attention back to the other wolves, although it was hard to pull her interested gaze away for the wolf she had met earlier...

KAI.
Hulking ebon frame dragged the large elk carcass with seemingly no effort at all; movements were almost graceful compared to what they could’ve been. Strength never faltered, though the distance wasn’t horribly far from Frozen River to the howling grounds. The scents and sounds had called to him, and so he brought food from the River with great honor and dignity. Aura almost commanded respect, though demeanor was kind in intentions, it was almost blatantly obvious that he was indeed one of the alphas of the Vale. Yes indeed, Kai, alpha of Frozen River had arrived. The final stretch was uplifting as he approached his final destination, jaws finally releasing the large elk’s flank. A great sigh heaved from his lungs as he turned to survey the other wolves that had already arrived. None were from his domain, and most seemed to be loners. Kai inwardly shrugged, checking to see if he recognized any. One particular she-wolf looked a lot like Haven, from what it looked like she was a daughter of Haven and Ransom. The dark hued alpha smiled, and it became apparent that he was one of the first alphas to arrive. And he had a feeling he was going to be one of the wolves that was here to make sure the place was kept under control, having a rank and being devoted to a pack left lots of room for responsibility...he was quite used to it by now. He could only hope that no one arrived with plans on causing trouble. “Hello everyone, I’m Kai, alpha of Frozen River...it’s nice to see so many wolves on such a wonderful autumn evening.”

LUNA.
The mixed hued femme from the darkest and most hated pack in the Vale arrived bearing the gifts from the Shores, several large oceanic fish from none other than the ocean itself. She had no idea whether or not her mate would show, simply because this meeting wasn’t meant to end up a brawl between the packs. Luna had no intentions of harming the others, though she wasn’t excited in the least to see her brother, Kai. She had no expectations for the meeting, simply as not to be disappointed, though she hardly expected to see any members of the Shores pack besides those she had brought herself, her son Ty and Silas. She was confident that the three of them could exercise enough self-control so as not to start a riot, and she’d come mainly to represent the pack as well as to bring their share of food. She thought she felt several eyes on her as she made her entrance, orbs glancing around in uncertainty as she halted and dropped the seafood she’d withheld within the unrelenting grip of her jaws, allowing them to plummet to the earth. Optics were immediately on her brother’s form, her form nearly radiating mistrust. Rather than smiling she allowed her lips to draw a line, unwilling to allow her actions to change the Shores reputation to one of help and kindness. No- Luna was here to represent Shadowed Shores, though she wouldn’t deceive their claim to fame. She wasn’t here to fight, but she wasn’t here to betray their origins and ruin the reputation they had worked hard to gain. “And I’m Luna, mate to Alter-Ego, and newly alphess of Shadowed Shores.”

ILLUMINATI aka TY.
Massive alabaster frame trailed behind his mother, carrying the rest of their offering to the rest of the Vale within his clenched jaws. He’d been unsure of whether or not to bring his daughter along, fearing that Csenge might arrive and would discover the truth. So instead he’d left the decision to his daughter, Yaviel, leaving her within the presence of Nyea to do as she chose. Mind was consumed by thoughts of Csenge, and of Luther, constantly wondering whether either would come to the event. And his son, he wondered whether he would show, though Ty had no intentions of revealing the truth. He was unable to completely degrade Csenge, in front of her mate and son- their son, Luther could imagine and fantasize whatever he wanted but all the evidence was there. The lies Csenge had told him could only go so far before they came crashing down, and even she didn’t know the whole truth anymore. Her brother, Khalid had nearly caught him in the act of stealing their daughter, and had apparently said nothing so far. Thoughts were interrupted as his mother drew to a halt and dropped the oceanic fish she’d brought, and Ty did the same, almost mimicking her movements before nervously scanning the others...finding no trace of Csenge, Luther or his son. Gaze returned to his mother, staying quiet as she introduced herself, her tones almost emotionless. They were to remain under strict neutrality, so as not to allow the views on the Shores to deteriorate and lose their infamy. His introduction was of much less importance.
“Name’s Ty.”

SILAS.
The dark-hued male kept his distance, trying his best not to be affiliated with the Shores. Kidnapped at a young age and forced to stay within the confinement of Shadowed Shores, Silas knew he would likely encounter his family here. Though he knew better than to turn a cold shoulder to the Shores so quickly without warning, and highly influenced personality threatened to break with sudden changes. He knew he couldn’t go home now, though he could at least bear witness to his family...and at least see how they were doing without him. Sil had missed them, of course, but he knew it wasn’t yet time to return. It would be impossible, he was too highly adapted to the Shores lifestyle to go home with his father, and he couldn’t risk having the Shores wage war with the River- not again. Silver and Zedekiah’s death had been enough of a price to pay, for Luna and Kai’s family blood feud would only resurrect itself and would lead to more casualties within his family tree. He wasn’t going to risk the lives of those that meant most to him, including his aunt, Luna and his father, Kai. He could only hope his father would understand why he couldn’t return this very instant, and hoped Kai could forgive him for remaining within the Shores ranks for so long. He was a lousy excuse for an heir, if he was even heir to the throne at all. When it came down to it, Aureole was indeed the better choice, or so he believed. Strides carried him to the small gathering, and he avoided standing close to Luna for fear of his father’s opinion. Sil’s voice almost a whisper. “Silas.”

BELIAL.
The brave young boy had ventured off on his own, ignorant of the dangers of being alone when he was still less than a year old. He was exceptionally large for his age, taking after his biological father, Ty. Though a curtain had been pulled before his eyes, and oblivious to it he believed that his father was none other than Luther. It was a common misconception, for no one knew the truth besides his mother, Csenge and uncle, Khalid. Though young, he wasn’t completely innocent, for at times he was very much bi polar. Occasionally he said things he didn’t mean, his volatility often resulting in hazardous situations that were the polar opposite of how his family acted, his family being Luther and Csenge. For now he was in a delightful childish mood, playfully slipping through the trees and bounding through windswept piles of leaves. Laughter bubbled from within, casually slipping into the afternoon air. It seemed incidental as he stumbled upon the small group of wolves, though he was almost ignorant of their presence as he darted toward the water. He felt bold...brave as he trudged through the shallow water, kicking and splashing with childlike playfulness, sending crystalline droplets everywhere. Quite oblivious to the manners he seemingly lacked, though it was forgivable...he was only a pup. Suddenly he became aware of the other wolves, and he smiled sheepishly as he looked to each one. Eyes paused on the large alabaster brute, and it was déjà vu. The brute was constantly in his dreams, along with a young alabaster female, which he didn’t know were actually his biological father and sister. “Uhh...hi? I’m Belial...”

NAKIR.
There was the distinct aroma of ladies, and Nakir couldn’t help approaching group of congregated wolves. He passed by Luna and Ty, dipping his maw respectively toward them before moving to a different location to survey the mistresses that had already arrived. Lustful desires were temporarily set aside, sadly sacrificed for being allowed to approach and join in the festivities. A charming smile formed on his maw, and though he knew he was under the watchful eye of Luna and the other alphas. He was omega of the Shores pack, for obvious reasons, and if they weren’t blatantly obvious enough he’d had sexual relations with the Shores heiress, Nyea. He’d almost felt betrayed when Ego threw a fit about him touching his daughter, as Nyea had never said anything about her rank. Despite the incident, being caught and nearly exiled from the pack, given the option he clearly would do it again. Nakir was naturally a womanizer, sometimes his actions were unforgivable to overprotective parents, but his habits would never change or cease to be. Compliments and pick-up lines hung on the tip of his tongue the moment he glanced at each and every female, but he knew better than to let them slip out and get chased away from the small assembly. Instead he simply made mental notes of the females so as to approach them some other day, winter and spring were fast approaching...in other words he would be claiming females out of season soon, to satisfy his own pleasures, and sometimes satisfying the female as well. “Good evening ladies and gentlemen, I’m Nakir, ‘tis a pleasure to meet you all.”

KODAK.
Having recently returned to the Vale after many months of isolation after losing track of the entrance, Kodak had returned. Unsure of his standings within the Sky Mountain pack as well as with the girl he’d once and still loved dearly, he did his best to tolerate with the distance he’d brought upon himself. He could only hope that Freya and Lenne could forgive him for his disappearance, and could accept that he wasn’t dead...and had never actually ceased to live in the first place. Kodak approached the miniature audience that had previously arrived to the get-together, and offered them a smile. Gaze searched for the elderly alphess, Freya, but he found himself giving a brief nod toward Kai instead, remembering the past when they had both resided in Mineral Mines. The figures within his field of vision were unfamiliar; one male’s scent withheld the scent of Sky Mountain. Perhaps a fellow pack mate, if he was still allowed to call the Mountain his home after his long absence. Kodak could only hope that no other guy’s had caught Lenne’s attention while he’d been gone, but it was his fault for leaving and would be his loss. The majority of the wolves seemed to be loners, though he sensed the presence of Frozen River, Sky Mountain, Great Gorge, Black Lake and...Shadowed Shores. Kodak glanced uneasily toward Luna, and what appeared to be her son, Ty. The only wolves he was familiar with were the alphas; apparently he’d been gone long enough. Vocals emitted a soft chuckle, figuring he may as well introduce himself as the others had done. “My name’s Kodak.”

MIA.
Technically she wasn’t supposed to be here, but so what? She’d bathed earlier this evening and had washed away all scents of the Shores and Alter-Ego. Rather she was here so as not to worry Vulcon, she wanted to tell him she was going to be away for a while and would be staying in Mineral Mines to relax, and maybe she’d find someone to settle down with. She could only hope she’d be convincing enough to convince him for a while, Mia didn’t want him to worry about her...since she was going to be living in the Shores for a while, or so it seemed. Alter-Ego didn’t know she’d left, but she had no intentions of running while she had the chance. She didn’t want to cause any trouble that could end in either Vulcon or Kel being harmed, Mia couldn’t bear the thoughts of them coming to rescue something as worthless and accident-prone as her. Coming after her would prove pointless; she was constantly in trouble so it hardly mattered. And so maybe she was going to lie to Vulcon, or simply stretch the truth. Or maybe it was best to just mention nothing of it and just let him assume that she needed some time to herself. Mia inwardly shrugged, deciding it was probably better not to say anything of the sort and just to enjoy her alpha’s presence while it lasted. As she approached the small band of wolves it became apparent that Vulcon hadn’t yet arrived. Oh well, she thought as she approached, doing her best to avoid glancing at Luna. The large earth hued femme smiled warmly before she spoke. “I’m Mia.”

KALEA.
The exotic hybrid wove her way through the woods, shifting uneasily as she passed each massive tree. Everything always felt so big and overpowering around her, for she was midget-like in size. Where was Luma when she needed her? A soft laugh escaped her lips as she swerved around another seemingly massive tree. Tassel swayed behind her as she picked up her pace, suddenly moving at a pace so fast it would have any pureblood wolves lungs screaming for air. Short, but muscular frame was much closer to the ground, making her much more aerodynamic and allowing her to run at quick speeds for quite a long distance. Kalea’s unusual half-breed body of odd proportions was built for flight rather than fight, and she was always glad to be able to outrun her wolf brethren, for some weren’t so open-minded of those who were mixed with dogs. It was almost amusing how hybrids weren’t very well accepted by wolves and dogs, wolves disliking them for their dog blood, and dogs disliking them for their wolf blood. It was an unnecessary inconvenience in her life, but it was sometimes unavoidable...Kal just hoped these wolves wouldn’t mind her presence. She skidded to a halt, nearly running into another female as she stopped to take a look at the wolves that had already made it here. Tongue lolled out of her mouth, and she panted for a few moments before placing her rump to the earth. She hesitantly glanced around at some of the other’s, starting to feel a sense of insecurity. Kalea spoke softly, voice almost strained. “Hi...I’m Kalea.”

MAL'AKH.
The monstrous ebon beast stalked the area, footfalls silent and figure moving stealthily through the thick forest. He wanted to see who he was dealing with, who he’d hopefully be feared by in future months. Obsidian lips were pulled back into a smirk as he started another lap around the area, twisting through the trees once more as he scented the winds. Nares flared and nose wrinkled as the scents of females entered his nostrils, a low growl sounding from his throat, before it was followed up by a snarl. He drew to a halt, pivoting and entering the small clearing. Substantially large frame walking toward a destination that was slightly secluded from the rest of the area, his body almost incapable of a speed much faster than a walk...before he stopped and allowed his rump to rest on the earth. Deep hazel eyes, almost red in color searched the facades of the others, almost revolted by each and every one of them. They were disgusting, disappointing, everything he’d expected them to be and less. Cranium held no expression, features lacked emotion...making it clear that he was anti-social in the least. Actually he wasn’t, rather he was plotting...planning ideas for the future, judging each of them without so much as a word. -Estimating their capabilities, strengths, weaknesses...all in utter silence. They all failed to impress him; he was internally displeased by their insufficiency of competence. He glanced toward the other large ebon male, figuring he was an alpha and almost eyed him with distrust. He looked like the biggest threat, not that he cared. Mal’akh’s words were cold. “Mal’akh.”

Thin, small form moved through the land. Pace quickened as his black build moved towards the meeting. He seemed to be last the come in of the Shadowed shore wolves and nodded a greeting to his pack mates. Luna, who he had only spoken to when he was very young, Ty whom he was becoming better friends with. And Nakir, who he despised deeply were of the ones he knew here, of his pack. He gave them a friendly nod, the others probably wouldn't care of his presence here. His thin build made it obvious that he was the runt of his litter compared to the size of his brothers and sisters. But he was all the more deadly. Silver optics gazed around for Nyea, being rather upset not to find her here. He always enjoyed her company, for he had come to the conclusion that he was in love with her. Sighing he looked towards the strangers and familiar faces as well. "Shade, beta of shadowed shores" he spoke simply, shaking out his pelt calmly. Sighing he glanced around him, giving a playful brother like smirk to Ty. He hoped the two of them could get along better. Shade had nothing against Ty, so he thought it would be great to be good friends with him.

Dark gray build moved into the area calmly, slowly as she shook out her pelt. Starshade had never been the same since the death of her mate, and the death of her son. In her face the pain was obvious, she wore no mask to cover it. She did the best for her family but other then that she was a wreck and everyone could see it. She was getting up there in age, and she hardly saw her children anymore. Heart shattered, she knew there was almost no way of fixing it. She would always be loving and kind toward others, but never would she have that light in her eyes she used to. Sighing she smiled at the ones she saw, but when her eyes drifted over Shade her smile vanished. She looked at how he had changed, and how he had spoken of being the beta of those dreadful lands. Forcing her smile back, she looked to the others around. "Nice to meet you all, i'm Starshade." her voice was gentle. But the pain was still well found within its tones.

Bulky frame bounded into the area, excited to meet new faces. He stopped suddenly as he approached the group, smiling of pure happiness. Shaking out his mixed colored coat, his ears perked towards the new faces. And a few that he had seen before. Tail swished gently back and forth as he smiled at the wolves around him. "Hello all, Nice to meet you. I am Silverclaw, Beta of Great gorge." he told them, voice happy as he looked around him. Bulky frame shifted lightly on the ground beneath him. Despite his large size he had a big heart, and was very protective of ones he cared about. Sighing with contentment he tried to calm himself, and make his posture look more relaxed. Glancing over at Iceheart he gave him a warm smile, much more welcoming then their last meet.

Young frame moved swiftly through the trees, her coat looking similar to her mothers. Eyes lit up with energy and excitement of meeting new faces. And old ones as well. She could see the wolves from a distance and let out a light bark of excitement. Young Isaria, or Izzy as most called her was born to Java and helios. And was very proud of her family, in her eyes her family ran the greatest pack in the veil. And she hoped to one day be able to run it like they did. However she had so many siblings, so who knew who would get the leadership position. Isaria cared so much for this pack and would do anything for it. But she knew her siblings would as well. Sighing she arrived at the opening, cheery face gazing at the others. "Hey all. I'm Isaria, or Izzy if you like. Daughter of Helios and Java." she explained, head held high as she stated her parents names. Tail swished rapidly behind her, as she gazed at the new and old faces that surrounded her.

Small shaky legs carried him slowly into the opening. Being more then half starved and scared out of his mind, it took a lot of courage to show himself here. He was only a puppy, and had no one to care for him. He wasn't sure how the others would react to him, he was different indeed. And if he wasn't so hungry and in such bad of shape he would indeed be more of himself. More perky and happy to be around. However he cowered his way into the opening, looking up at the wolves that stood around. Gaining up courage to speak, with a sigh. "H...hello, i'm Leon." he spoke, barely though. Letting his gaze travel to them, he had met none of them before. And had no idea how they were to react towards him. Tail wagged gently, trying to act more friendly towards the strangers. His small frame stayed close to the ground as he inched forward, unsure of the reaction that would be made. He was a loner currently, and hoped the wolves would be welcoming towards him. Perhaps welcoming like few others had been. Perhaps wolves here weren't so judging.

Clouse

As soon as Clouse felt Flyte's warmth near him, he turned and glanced over his shoulder, eyes meeting with hers. She seemed dreadfully tired, bringing a raised brow the brute. He flattened his ears against his large skull, "Look, you're going to have to keep up. Even if you get hurt you have to push past it." he snarled, raising his lip at her.

A wolf that dragged behind was not only a distraction, but a casualty. "You're always safest next to me, mein mädchen, so do try to keep up, even if it hurts." he told her, taking a look at her paw. The wound was deep, but not fatal.

Turning his head back down to the wolves, his eyes grew darker as more and more seemed to arrive from the trees. Curling his lips up tight, he let out a snarl as his tail rose slightly. This was getting interesting.

"Schnell." he told Flyte as he jogged down the hill, his eyes intense amber gold eyes fixated on the wolf who had first caught his scent, it was very strong, very intense. The wolf was large, obviously much older then himself, and ebon in color. He made his presene and was followed suit by many other wolves, even a pup, which seemed most odd.

Staying within a safe 20 feet or so, the young, forigne brute raised his plume straight in the air, his lip quivering as he held his ears alert and erect towards the older male. His eyes held much curiosity and confusion. Seeing so many wolves holding different scents gathering all at once, for unknown reasons was somewhat distressing for him.

Flyte

Flyte growled at Clouse's comment, and put her paw on the ground, trying to ignore the surging pain. She glared at him, and watched as he went to confront the other wolves. There was so many, she felt extremely uncomfortable. She wasn't always the greatest around new wolves, especially with so many, as she tended to keep to herself. Why did Clouse insist on coming here anyways? She sighed, waiting to see what would happened. She didn't move from her little sitting spot on the hill, she was simply here to observe. She looked at all the other wolves, annalizing what they had said.. They where all part of a pack.. Part of a family... She looked to the ground for a seond, then looked towards the wolves again, thinking about the look Clouse had given her. It made her agrivatted that he would get mad at her for simply being hurt, but she shoudln't really care. It's not like they where traveling parteners or anything. She had just simply taken him up on his invite to come here. Yeah, he had no reason to be mad at her. Flyte frowned a little as her mind drifted into thoughts about Clouse, trying to convince herself she didn't care. It didn't work.

Flyte finally shook her head, and her thought cleared like a deer bounding off into the thickets, only to be seen again if tracked down. She smiled a little, and wraped her tail around her, so she looked polite sitting off a ways from the group. She didn't really belong here.. It was a meeting for packs..

Freya Firesong

The ruff of the boar gripped solidly in her strong jaws, the brindled lady of the Mountain pack moved into the gathering. She didn't look around much at first, trusting her daughter and Phoenix to watch her back as she deposited the pack's offering with the others. Solid strides carried her to the side of the elk that already laid in the center; her craned neck bowed, jaws releasing the weight onto the ground next to it.

Lifting her crown, her emerald optics scanned the group. Members of Lake, Plain, Gouge... Shores. Well now, this was interesting. She knew all were invited but she had not expected the hellions of Shores to come slinking from the shadows. Lifting her eyes from the ones from the shore, she saw one she did know and smiled.

"Hello again, Young one... it has been a while, Kodak. I am glad to see you are not as dead as we feared."

Favoring her once missing packmember with a beautiful smile for a moment, she then looked over the rest before announcing herself.

"I am Freya Firesong, Alphess of Sky Mountain."

Lenne Firesong

Tense. Fear. Rage. It was all on the winds, all on the air. Lenne shivered, ghosting in step with her mother like she was still a little cub. She had met many of the wolves of the vale.... but none in mass like this. None in quarters like this. It was a assault on the young princess's senses.

Her mother's voice got the young fae's attention, the curl talking her lips as she heard Kodi's name. She took a step to stand between her mother and her crush, her heart's mate and looked around.

"Um... I'm Lenne. Also of Sky Mountain."

Vulcon Sha'Lok

With far warning of who would be at the gathering, and not willing to take chances, Vulcon had brought his pack in mass. All together, moving like spreading darkness - led by the Demon King of the Ashlands. Amber pools caught on the black velvet of his features - together with Kani, they bore in the decent blacktail deer into the clearing.

He didn't trust the Shadows here - Broken had told him of the last time she had run with them; rumors only served to support the words of the one time Shadow Shores' Beta femme. Vulcon didn't want to risk with going badly - he wanted to do a premetive attack and slaughter them all. He knew he had a good chance to take Ego, but the others....

And the Howling Grounds were sacred; no fighting allowed. He would obey them. For now. Jaws parted, dropping the neck of the buck to the ground. Crown lifting, the ebon monster of a brute looked over the clearing - a moment or two his eyes lingered on the one that claimed to be Ego's mistress.... it was not exactly a nice look, but it was not a death glare either.

"I am called Vulcon; Vulcon Sha'lok. Lord of Ash Forest and Mate of Keladry. It is a .... pleasure to meet you all finally."

Kani Blu

Kani as always was himself. A Sterling Knight; strange that this time, it was not a fae he was knight to - but a friend. His oath brother, Vulcon. The Tundra wolf was larger then his Alpha; therefore larger then most of the gathered wolfens. Not that he noticed. He dropped his end off the kill, eyes shadowed as he looked over the gathering. He knew a few, not many.

Mia... She had not been with the pack; not heard Vulcon's call and had not come to the Pack's final gathering before journeying to the Howling Grounds. It had bothered Vulcon; Kani knew as much. The she-one was like a little sister to his oath brother... it bothered him to see her now, and wondered if Vulcon had noticed. When the alpha did not address the little wanderling - Kani assumed he had over looked her. Kani lifted his head, looking over the others and waiting until Vulcon finished. The moment the Alpha's words finished, Kani's granite and silk toned echoed them.

"I am called Kani Blu; also of Ash Forest."

He thought for a moment, thought to stay out of it. Then decided against it. Slate eyes turned with his visage, his focus entering on the little form not more then a few steps from him.

"Hello again..... Mia."

Broken

Scared was a understatement. She was totally freaked out - shaking with every step she took. Even in the company of Vulcon, Kani, and the rest of the Ash Forest Pack, Broken was terrified. Terrified to face Shadow Shores again. It and been a long, long time since she had seen Alter-Ego and the others.... and she wasn't really looking forward to it.

She remained hidden, only a step or two behind her new lord and his guardian. Listening to their masculine vocals announce their callings and their family. Their family.... her family now. She stepped alongside Vulcon and Kani, her voice a softer tenor to their baratone songs.

"I am Broken - now of Ash Forest."

It was all she could think to say. All that was needed for her to say to strike the final blow to the death of the wolf she had been.

Luma

Not even pausing, the golden wolfess moved up next to Kalea. Tongue struck against her friend's shoulder, marking her in front of all as one of Luma's; both as pack and as friend. Luma wasn't going to let anything happen to her mixed blood partner- Kalea was her best friend, and probably one of the few Luma had left.

"And I am Luma, New Alphess of the Red Ridge Pack."

She stooped quickly to collect the bodies of the pheasants. She felt strange- all the other packs had brought larger prey - but the Ridge did not have such large game to offer. Still, it was plentiful - it took her a moment to grip the necks of the several fat, fluffy birds she had brought. She stepped foward and set them with the others, refusing to look ashamed of their offering. It was the best the ridge had to offer, and just as good as any other.

She stepped back to stand next to Kalea, her golden eyes looking over the groups. She took strength from her friend but her side, facing for the first time the others in her role as Alphaess of what once was Ragnarok's lands...

Dewstar (with Pupplings in tow)

The pups tumbling around her feet, the slim little healer moved into the clearing without fear. She was the only Healer the Vale had - the only one in the walls of this place with the knowledge of herbs that could save any number of the wolves gathered here.

The trio were no longer so young; almost a years, and they at least seem to understand this was important. Maybe they were simply looking forward to meeting other wolves and the possibility of seeing their father again. And meeting his pack? Maybe.... Dewstar still wasn't sure about that one.

She wished that Tzadoc was here with her.... his pack was here, but she knew. He needed to be with his pack. She had her little ones were ronin- no pack. But she was the Vale's healer; she would not hide. With her pups at her feet, she bowed her head in greeting to the mass.

"Greetings Everyone. I am Dewstar."

Degarian
The male made his way towards the gathering place, his heart stammering complaints in his tawny chest as he grew closer towards the growing crowd. Femmes, brutes, many different wolves all gather here. His spine raised, fur twitching as his honey orbs darted about with unease. His shoulders slumped, head bowed as he edged to the outskirts of the crowd, sitting down and twitching as the paranoia lay fresh in his blood. The only thing that made him come was who he used to be, the happy and social Degarian. That last scrap of the old Degarian still clung somewhere in his damaged mind, yearning for the comfort of others. He only hoped he wouldn't be picked out as an outsider as he mumbled to no one but himself, "Degarain, no one to no body.."

Luther
The protective father of earthy hues followed after his excited son, keeping a short distance as the pup believed he had been able to dart away from his father's watchful eyes. Luther smiled as he heard the murmur of other wolves, but his smile faded as the familiar scent of the shores filled his nose. He knew that peace would be kept here, but he still did not want his son near the likes of them. His eyes flowed over the crowd, voice calling out to any that would hear, "Hello, I am Luther of Black Lake." His eyes swiveled to where his son had padded off to. His son had already walked up to the heir of the shores, Luther growled under his breath, Ty. Shoulders broadened as his steps became a solid stride towards his son. His manners still remained, he strode up behind Belial and curtly dipped his head to Ty, gray eyes holding a threat that was directed at the ablaster male. Herding his son away from the shores wolf, he directed Belial towards Dewstar whom he had noticed with her three children upon entering the area. He smiled as his voice rumbled, "Come Belial, I would like you to meet a friend of mine, she had children that are around you're age, I'm sure you would be able to play with them."

Snowfire
The old ravanger prowled at a distance behind his pack mates, the old sway in his steps that he had as a youth as his nose filled with the scents of the other wolves that had gathered. He paused as he reached a pool of water not for from where some of the other wolves had lain their kills. He smirked into the pools reflection, before his bi colored eyes raised to find his son among the Sky Mountain tribe. Eyes hardened, threatening, menacing, before he turned and padded back towards the shores wolves area. The name Mal'akh caught his attention as he overheard the brute announce himself. Snowfire studied the brute, taking in the massive prepositions and the cold air that flowed from the male. A smile edged at Snowfire's lips. He padded over to the brute, placing himself down upon the rock as he seated himself at the brutes right. "I am Snowfire, delta of the shores. And you Mal'akh, look like a fine young brute that belongs in our ranks." Snowfire smiled, lowering his voice "As you can see, I am not as young as I used to be, and the shores need more young males, to return it to its former glory, and you look like the type that could do that."

Fenris
Fenris ducked his head, crouching from his fathers burning gaze as he moved a bit closer towards Freya. He had stayed by her side at their arrival, being used to following someone that leading himself. And with his mother absent at the moment, Freya was the only one he could really count on for protection from the hulking white frame of his father. Fenris watched as the white ghost disappeared, a sigh escaping his jaws as he straightened back on his lanky limbs. He raised his head, gazing around the groups of wolves. Never had he been around so many of them. "My names F-f-fenris! I'm a pup of Sky M-mountain..."

Harmony

Harmony moved through the howling grounds, how long had it been she had ventured here? Yet in a strange way she was drawn, her wnadering had taken her far, but now it was time to return, back her pup who was probably wondering why she had disappeared, it was just one of things she was unable to answer. A grace her lips as she neared the gathering, spotting her son near Freya, barking a soft greeting, her paws burshing over the ground, never leaving a trace as she came next to Fenris, her muzzle nuzzling his neck, she had sensed Snowfire yet this time she did not fear him, she felt safe, in the company of so many Even Snowfire would try his luck here

Aleksei

Earthen hues playing a almost chocolate coat, amber eyes lifting to watch the gathering. He had gone into hiding for a long time after losing his mate, although he had loved her dearly, they had drifted so far apart since the winter had taken their pups. IT had destroyed him internally, perhaps in this autumn he could regain himself.
"I'm Aleksei." He spoke simply, he would have said a part of Frozen River but he was unsure if he was still welcome there.

Redrum

Redrum heard of the gathering on the winds, how close had he been to death? Too many to count, now the aging wolf, despite his presence in the Shores truly felt his age, his lust for a fight was waning, and now he just settle down and live out the last of his year with peace as a companion and not with war at his side. Perhaps he should have called ahead, not that it mattered now, as his hulking black frame moved across to the gathering, his body so heaviyl scarred with hunks of fur missing, yet despite the blackness of his remaining cvoat, small grey hairs were beginning to poke through as a reminder to all, the demon of the vale was now too old for such games.
"I'm Redrum." His voice growled lowly, his crimson gaze spotting a certain female he had talked with some time ago and felt relief that she was still okay, although it was clear emotionally she was torn.

Sergei

Sergei's travel from Black lake had tired him out beyond belief. His frame weakening at every step, the illness still gripping his once young body and taking away what spirit was left. His bi coloured eyes lifted up. "I'm Sergei of Black lake." He managed to say, his voice nothing more than a low rasp, although despite his weakness, he had manged to grab an rabbit that thought he was no threat. Settling his rump on the floor, he manged a passing glare to the Shores members. Why did they have to come? Had they not caused enough damage already?

Honoka

Long bouncing stride brought Honoka to the gathering, that the time she had been wandering around the vale, trying ignore the pressing darkness yet all the time drawn intoxicably closer to it. Her gaze moved around to watch "I'm Honoka of Sunset Plains." She spoke simply, she had never truly recovered from her own state but she had lost sight of Flames so long ago, she often wandered if he was a figment of her imagination.

Hochiko

A lightly merle body of a lean female with slightly oversized feet had followed in the footsteps of her father, Sergei. Blue eyes moving to watch the other wolves as she settled next to him. Since his illness had been found Hochiko had taken it upon herself to stay wit her father. "GReeting all, I am Hochiko of Black lake." Her words ringing with slightly musical hint.

Hikari

THe same hulking frame to his father's so long ago. The similiar merled pattern but only attitudes nwo seperated Sergei's old self from what his son, hikari had now become. With a smug smirk, Hikari settled himself at his father, his gaze to watch everyone. The shores had such power at their control and that he envied although he could never become like them. His mother had been the pinacle of his life and there was no way he could her shame or pain. "Hikari. That's all you lot need to know." Hikari's voice low and growling almost sneering at the other wolves. Why had his father brought him? it was a waste of time in his eyes.

Clouse

The young brute grew tensed, he could feel the tendons in his legs and neck contracting at the sight of all the wolves that began to gather. There were too many, far too many, and it was disturbing him, getting him antsy.

Looking back up the slope, he started at Flyte, making sure she was still in sight. His eyes darkened as he stared up at the much smaller female. He knew she was tired of this scene already, as he was beginning to grow as well. There were too many wolves, too little of a purpose, and as far as Clouse was concerned, all of these wolves were bark and no bite.

Glaring at the new pack of wolves who showed themselves, Clouse let out a snarl to the brute who so carelessly introduced himself as Hikari. The young, beautiful brute lowered his neck slightly, flattening his ears and holding his tail parallel to the ground as he growled at the new group of wolves. His lips were pulled up tight as he licked at his large fangs, and eyeballing the obscene number of wolves who had crowed into the area. He was becoming more and more distraught.
