Rules and Laws of the Site (updated 6/14/15)

BASIC RULES

1. No godmoding (no character is invincible, each player controls their wolf’s actions/dialogue)
2. No abusive remarks/offensive comments towards other players
3. No excessive use of swearing; racial slurs will not be tolerated
4. No chat speak
5. No spamming
6. No post prompting (reminding people to post is rude, please be patient)
7. Stay realistic (no wings, odd coat colors, jewelry etc.)
8. Stay in character (IC) as much as possible on role play boards, additional comments can be labeled OOC - characters are played using third person
9. Wait for a wolf’s bio to be approved by a staff member before posting in the role play boards
10. Please try to write posts consisting of more than 3 lines
11. Please do not have your wolf in 5 different places at once - keep it reasonable
12. Signature pictures: try to keep to a reasonable size, no more than 2 full sized pics per sig (note: pics are meant to be of wolf characters)

HUNTING RULES

1. Small animals can be hunted freely (beavers, hares etc.)
2. Keep it realistic with large animals (i.e. moose) - a lone wolf might be able to take down one that’s young, old, or sick, but otherwise it’s more likely to be a multi-wolf affair

MATE RULES

1. To have a mate a wolf must be in a pack
2. Wolves must be mates 1 week real time before breeding
3. Mated pairs do not have to be permanent (though wolves tend to mate for life)

BREEDING RULES

1. Please don’t go overboard with detail
2. Wolves typically breed during the breeding season: fall - winter
3. No force-breeding allowed
4. Pregnancy lasts until spring/summer - no whelping early, no lost litters unless staff approved
5. Use the provided template to post in the Litter board before pups are to be born - staff will post with the number of pups and their genders (players of parents decide what pups look like, and their personalities)
6. Still-born pups and pups that die shortly after birth are allowed - this is up to the players of the parents
7. It is up to the mother and father who can enter the birthing den
8. Parents may role play pups until they’re weaned (one season) - then either keep them or adopt them out
9. Pups are considered to be adults at 3 years of age, and can breed at that time (rare for a female to carry a litter to term before 3 years of age)

FIGHTING RULES

1. No god wolves (everyone will take hits, no one goes unscathed)
2. No cheating/autohits (each player can only speak for their wolf)
3. Be clear (describe hits your wolf is trying to make)
4. Wolf can concede or flee at any point
5. A player cannot kill another player’s character without their approval

SHOUTBOX RULES

1. No advertising
2. No chat speak
3. No spamming/trolling
4. No offensive language/abusive behavior/swearing
5. Try to keep it positive - no pouting please

ADDITIONAL NOTES

NOTES ON ALPHAS

1. Players that are new won’t have the opportunity to lead a pack right away
2. Begging will not get anyone a leader position - do not PM alphas about becoming their mate
3. The best way to get an open alpha position is to role play with an existing alpha and earn it
4. If there are packs available without an alpha, auditions will likely be held

NOTES ON ACTIVITY

Reasons accounts may be deleted are as follows:
1. Account has not been logged in in at least 200 days
2. Account is 30 days old and has no posts and/or only post is an ad
3. Account is more than a week old with no email activation
